How it works
Not every residential roofer. Ask specifically whether the crew installs low-slope membrane or subs it. The tie-in between the flat section and the pitched roof is where leaks start.
TPO is a heat-welded single-ply, white, and reflective — good in Florida and Texas heat. Modified bitumen is torch- or self-adhered asphalt, more forgiving on complex details. Both are fine when installed right.
