This is the Morrow page for roof insurance claim help. The short version: you want to understand whether they have a claim and to not get steamrolled by the adjuster, and you can have it without a salesperson at the door.
Get a written quoteOlder homes have older electrical and plumbing penetrations through the roof; replacing the boots and flashings on all of them is cheap during a re-roof and expensive later. Lower pitches on mid-century homes rule out some products and make ice-and-water shield in the valleys non-negotiable. This is the edge of the hail belt: storms are less frequent than up the I-35 corridor, but the ones that arrive are the same size.
On cost: there is no fee to the homeowner for inspection and claim documentation — the roofer is paid from the approved claim, and your out-of-pocket is the deductible.
Coastal counties (Chatham, Bryan, Effingham) carry separate named-storm and hurricane deductibles, similar in concept to Florida's, that only apply once the National Hurricane Center issues a watch or warning for the area.
How it works
Roofer. An inspection before you file tells you whether there's enough damage to exceed the deductible and gives you photo evidence dated before the adjuster's visit.
The carrier's adjuster inspects the roof and writes a scope. Having your roofer present means damage doesn't get missed and the scope is argued on the spot rather than by letter later.

Morrow is inside the everyday service radius, so there's no travel surcharge and no "we'll be in the area next month."
